In Reply To: There seems to be a number of people who really dislike working at Booz and a number who do like working at Booz. Why is there this disparity? Is it a WCB vs. WTB issue? Is it the luck of the draw and it just depends on which team you happen to work with? I am a manager with Deloitte Consulting, and luck of the draw is the way it works here (at least initially).
Message: My belief is that most of it is dependant on the group and the partner/principal who leads it. The public sector practice has additional levels of complexity in regards to satisfaction. Some join Booz believing that they are joining the commercial sector practice and end up in the public sector practice. Some are placed at government sites as on-site support or are located in very small remote offices where they do not really get a sense of the company's culture and have limited opportunities to move on to different projects. There are other reasons on the public sector side, but these are the two that immediately come to mind.
