why try to make the transition finish at month 12?
Will this transfer kill any possibility of a promotion to level 2? I AM kicking ass, the client loves me, and my boss is very pleased with me as well, but it is coming at the expense of my happiness...I feel like if i stay here i will definitely get promoted, but can i have my cake and eat it too? |

12 month's is usually the earliest for a transfer. I would recommend the steps whether you transfer at 1 year or 10 years. The key is lay down the groundwork prior to the date that you actually want to make the move.
If you think that you will be promoted after a year, then I would make it 16 months for the earliest transfer. Your pay and promotion actionable review comes at the one year mark and you will know in month 12-16 whether you will get promoted and/or salary increadsed.
