I recently referred someone to my company (friend of friend) and he's accepted a position here. As a result, I will receive a fairly generous finders fee.
I plan to share this fee with another friend who helped me find the new hire, but now the new hire has gotten word of the finders fee and wants a cut!
Is this normal? Should the new hire get a cut? Isn't it enought that he got the job?
Any thoughts on how to handle?
