In Reply To: Hi, I just had my interview today and my impression of B. employees is very bad. Not only did they show up 20 minutes late and didn't apologize, but one of the girls who I talked to rejected to introduce herself etc. I used to work in HR as a consultant so I expected a high standard of discussion. I have never seen or experienced such an unpleasant meeting in my life. Disrespect, offense, aggression- these are words that can describe their behavioral patterns. I don??t want to go into details, but I am very disappointed with my foundation today. I thought that B. excelled in many areas and talent management was one of them. Not true. I was asked what my salary expectation was and when I rejected to answer (not the right timing etc.) one of them started to yell at me that everybody knows their price etc. They probably don??t understand that they were the B. face for me and they made sure I would never buy a product from this company in the future. Overall, I hope that you guys will have more positive stories to share, B. story is over for me.
Message: I read your reply on how you felt your interview went poorly and expectations you felt that fell short of how the company presented itself to you, I'll tell you it does not surprise me 1 bit. Back in 1997 when I was interviewing i had some ridiculous questions thrown my way and sorta put on the spot with they way they tried to gulp an answer outta me to see if i gave the right one, or micro manage my reply and if I gave them one that isnt favorable or canned like the normal answers the HR team is expected to hear from mindless drones, YOUR OUT!. so do not feel too bad. I myself felt a sense of my own arrogance in that I didnt care if i didnt pass the screening back then because when I interviewed I was already employed elsewhere. So i can say I wasnt a starving college grad or someone between jobs and anything they tried to disappoint me with wanst gonna work because i was already drawing bank from my current job at the time. I literally went to the numerous interviews during my lunch break. It was only from caring & people with heart (who are no longer with the company in the 8 years I was employed there, they fell off the map in my time of employ there.) in the department I was applying for that got me into BB , and that sure as hell wont happen today!! this was back before they went into micro managing corporate coldness. Below I copied & pasted a similar reply I posted to someone looking forward to the interview but also told em to be cautious. in my time there 1997-2005 alot changed and it was time for me to make a change. One day maybe I'll Identify myself and give my 2 cents, for now thats my reply to your post on the lackluster interview perception you had good luck elsewhere and hope you land something way better than at 731 lex. This was copied & pasted *** in the end you will regret having ever wallowed through the walls at 731 Lex, or 110 or 499 Park.. Take a position elsewhere, posts may be anonomyous here (dont know if i spelled that right) but some of those haneous posts hit the nail right on the head on pet peeves and frustrations, to which i wont elaborate on.. Take any offer elsewhere and let BB go by the wayside. weigh your offers $money wise and dont view all posts here on Vault as cynical, view them as some REAL issues that do exist at BB that get colored and painted with snazzy remarks from others putting in their 2 cents in. Sometimes the original posts focus is lost with all the hacks replying their take on what someone posted, just think for a minute. Someone posted an issue that is really bothering them and that cannot simply be dismissed. Choice is yours..Hopefully BB rules will add more drink to this Kool-Aid, and i dont disagree with everything he puts out there. Hows about your take on this scenario Mr. BB rules?? I said abandon the offer at BB and go elsewhere??. Your take? *** end of copy/paste
