There are 275k Bloomberg machines, a cable channel, additional broadcasts over "E", a radio station, and an active web site...all the tools necessary to maximize revenues and kick CNBC's derierre...let's face it, if there wasn't a demand for business news and entertainment, JJC, James J Cramer of CNBC's Mad Money wouldn't have captured 16 hrs of programing a week. Even Fox and Neil Cavuto, etc produce 22 hrs of programing. |

CNBC's primary biz objective is to broadcast and nothing else. They have the backing and experience of 50+ years in the business via NBC since there's a lot of crossover and veterans that made the switch.
Bloomberg, on the other hand, has one goal - to sell terminals and blanket the world's financial gurus with them. The broadcast component of the business is simply not a priority when the ad revenue is a pittance compared to the terminal revenue. Don't expect that to change.
