How many certs are "typical" For that matter are there any suggested ways for finding out how my salary compares to my coworkers? Do certs awarded typically go up at 6 month review regardless of performance? I've been working for a few months now, but still don't know if I'm being compensated fairly. I am fearing the salary sounded good but is still below my peers. |

As long as you feel your TOTAL annual comp is in line with your job and what the market is paying elsewhere, then it doesn't really matter if you think you're being paid fairly or not. Did you not understand the Cert payout process when they reviewed it with you on your hire date? Did you not go to the mandatory compensation class HR offers?
It's been covered here many times before. Certs are awarded at your hire date, and these will mature in a year.
Then more certs are awarded at your 6 month anniversary, and those will mature 2 years from your start date.
From that point on, certs are awarded at one year anniversaries, maturing 2 years later.
