I heard that there are many systems vulnerability or open hole with the Bloomberg Pro software and many of its components and that Bloomberg is now being sued for that look at this URL http://www.networkcomputing.com/1304/1304centerfoldtext.html

If I understood it correctly, in order for the automatic installation/update of the BBG software to function, the user running the BBG application needs to have Admin level access to the machine/Windows.
This may be more acceess than the average network admin feels comfortable to give to any person or maching on their network, but, hey....
