I agree about the data monkey issue, but my dear Watson I totally disagree with your statement about Bloomberg not being a financial service provider, Bloomberg is licensed by the S.E.C as a Broker Dealer entity under the current ATS and ECN Act, oh! That??s short for Alternative Trading System and Electronic Communications Network in case you did not know. So if we where to dialog as to what financial Services Bloomberg renders check this out http://www.globes.co.il/DocsEn/did=933600.htm
Perhaps you may want to see for your self and checkout the registration requirements under the ATS rules I think you can find that here. http://www.sec.gov/divisions/marketreg/mrecn.shtml
I believe is Rule 600(b)(23) of Regulation NMS oh! by the way that means National Market System.
By the way your assessment of the of the 6000 people is right on the money I totally agree, practicing data marketing is no fun and it has no future unless you can put all that data to good use.
