There is a new team in town an its call Orchestria
R & D Software Dev Sorry guys but it is a fact of life I guess Bloomberg has come to the days of Sarbanes & Oxley having an in house R & D is no longer a viable cost effective solution, the stakes and the liability is too high.
Say hello to your replacement, allow me to introduce you, this is Orchestria Orchestria can do it Better, Faster and the liability is past over to their insurance company.
In short you Bloomberg R & D Software Dev guys better start looking for a new job I guess the whole transition will take about a year or two so I hear, the fact of the matter is
You have Sarbanes & Oxley to thank for.
Well we can blame all on the Gov you guys in R & D have been flying by the seat of your pants for a long time now and that is no longer acceptable.
You see its all about accountability and liability if you screw up you must pay so now that Bloomberg Is no longer a free to run as you please they have to make sure that the very nature that has made them the cash cowl does not come back to bite the them in the rear.
The days of virtually none regulatory compliance are gone.

Did you know if you developed a new software application an is implemented and somewhere down the line that application that you are so proud off screw??s up something down the line your company will be liable it,s call product liability in case you did not know with Sarbanes & Oxley you mess-up you pay and not just money mind you its prison time
