Bloomberg is not a financial services firm. There is no single financial service they provide. BLOOMBERG IS A MEDIA COMPANY, focusing on financial data. It's a terrible place to work at. It's a terrible place to put in a resume. It's a great place to be a DATA MONKEY until you retire. HR is cool, Sales is cool, or any operations dept is cool, painting the walls is cool, but the CORE businesiness is DATA PROCESSING, about 6,000 people do that (programmers and data entry people) rest of the 500-1000 people like you do not represent the core business.
