Why does a media company such as Bloomberg continue to plan on spending loads of money on people doing data entry???? From an operational standpoint, how does this ADD VALUE when today's technology allows for simultaneous and immediate updates of financial information? Apparently, you are an another person who doesnt understand XRBL. Based on your question, it appears that you don't understand the cost descrepancies when a company pays people 100s of times more compared to having financial information uploaded from an XML file. The latter takes a NANO-SECOND, IS MORE ACCURATE, AND LESS COSTLY. Man, its a good thing this company isnt public. I would make a fortune shorting the stock! |

I thought you were referring to the operational standpoint of the terminal, networking.. etc.. XRBL has NOTHING to do with supporting the existing terminal. You cant assume that becuase one Manager doesnt know about XRBL that noone at Bloomberg does. By the way, does Thomson, Rueters or any other Finacial company use XRBL? It is not the standard yet, will it be? Who knows. I have been told for years by people just like you that our jobs are going to be gone for all kinds of reasons and that the company is going down the hill because "we wont adapt". Well guess what? Our company is still going strong... AND this has a lot to do with the way we support our terminals...
