remember to all ex employees, and current ones (though this msg is mainly geared to the EX-Employees, and you'll see why)
by Law your current or former employer MUST have your W2 for 2005 sent to you by 1/31 with 2/15 being the date you can actually call the IRS and slap BB with fines each & every day they fail to comply.
NO exceptions..
If your W2 is not in your posession, you can file a complaint.
If you don't receive your Form W-2 by February 15, contact the IRS for assistance at
(800)829-1040.
File a complaint at 311 also, so when they micromanage their call log they can see what calls are coming into 311 which was founded by BB himself, he'll stop & say "o' s---h did these guys stall on yet something else! What the hell is going on in my absence over there?"
Though it is frowned upon if you do this while your employed by your current employer (whether at BB or any other job) Ex employees like myself are just waiting with our fingers on the trigger to slap BB with a fine daily for every day they fail to comply with an individual's W2. Like i said at the beginning of the post this message thread is mainly for the EX BB emp's. Current employees will have to sit there & take it as well rather than speak out on it.
All of this is a matter of public record at
http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-15.html
how you choose to go about it should BB fail to get those W2's out accordingly (as they are not at fault, YET) is up to you. |
