In Reply To: What, is he watching you right now..? Did I say BBG wasn't successful? Did I say that a lot of people don't (over)pay a lot of money for functions that are so amateurishly designed that they can't be really relied upon (How does MSG handle attachments, for instance: Try sending a file attachment to recipients, wait an hour or two until they've read the file, then send a new message with a different file with the same name - guess which file is opened up no matter which message the recipient opens?) The fact is that BBG is its own netherworld. Another fact is that the "ain't good if it ain't developed here" thinking even applies to processes, tools, DBs, frameworks, etc, etc. Another fact is that Mr Tommyboy, although successfully riding the couattails of Mike B for so many years, has yet to prove himself as a Leader people willingly follow and as a Visionary who dares dream new directions for his company. But, if you can remove your tongue from Tom's buttcrack for a moment and perhaps keep it straight in your own mouth long enough to get some real perspective, you'd understand what more (soon-to-be-ex) employees and (soon-to-be-ex) customers have known for a while: BBG's leadership position is no longer founded in solid delivery of a solution combined with data. To the extent that BBG "lead", it is probably more due to an absence of a comparable competitor. Anyhow - Tom, you know I love you very much and that L-mania makes me write these things. Please don't take my dignity and self-respect away... No!!!!
Message: I have sent many file attachments to the same recipients over and over. I sent 14 different attachments to my Manager just Friday. He recived all of them FINE! Look why dont we save this board for employees of Bloomberg. I dont mind sharing thoughts with other employees that have some legitimate gripes. But, for someone that has left the company and most likely works for a competitor what you say doesnt have much credence.
