If you are being recruited or applying for a Global Technical Support position don't take it.It is a waste of your technical skills.All your skills are used for is dealing with angry customers.
You can't even order a keyboard by yourself. Calls are passed to you all day by clueless ADSK reps. If you have skills, don't waste them here because there is alot more money to be made doing "real" technical work that you'll enjoy much more. |

GTEC position is just a starting position. You are the first level Tech Support. Unless you arent very technical or you just want to stay there you should move on to bigger and better things within a year. Everyone I know started there including many Sales Reps. As far as keyboards, you shouldnt order them. We have the best Field Service Reps in any industry and they have many spare keyboards with them to swap out. Unless the Client demands to swap the keyboard out themselves. "Clueless ADSK Reps", they are Sales reps for the most part, they arent suppose to be technical, if its a service problem, or even if they think its a service problem. they turn it over to you Guys. If they were technical there wouldnt be a need to pass on to you Guys.
