In Reply To: I was clear on the CV: I'm not an expert in C programming ...not yet I should say. I did not put any score on the resume since I only attended an introductory course to C. However, if I have to score my skills, i would say 5/10. Regarding my knowledge in Finance, it is limited to what I taught myself to manage my own portfolio. I hold a PhD in physics, and am a postdoc at NYU (still physics). I have expertise in data analysis, modelling (Mathematica). About the dress code, it is a phone interview. Message: Since you have unique skills (PhD in physics), I don't think anyone would care about you being C expert. I believe you can add a lot of value to Bloomberg. However, as other people mention here, management is kind of weird, they don't like smart people, and they can't let smart people go. This is obviously affecting how they treat you.
