In Reply To: The reason why people complain on this board.. and hopefully I can speak for many is because we have managers that don't know what they are doing. They dont have people skills and they dont treat people with respect. I know there are a few out there that are good - I have had some in the past. But frankly for the most part I dont know how these people get hired. I once heard my department manager say to someone if sh1t interviews, we have to take the best piece of sh1t. I do not agree. Move on, keep interviewing. People are at a low. There are little things done that make the day go by faster, but in the scheme of things - PLEASE LORD TELL OUR MANAGERS TO LEAVE US ALONE.
Message: the whole philosophy changed. In R&D, there use to be (REAL) in-house training classes to increase your skills and make you more valuable to the Company. And I am not talking about the crap you get when you start. Ever see those or even hear about things like that now? Now its just crank out your piece of code and dont stick your nose any place else (dont learn about other parts or the whole system). Gee, the way its set up, we could be in India, cranking the stuff out. I wonder?!?!?!
