No, it's not one month per year. It's one WEEK per year, but if you've been with the company 4 years or less, you get 4 weeks. Plus any unused vacation. It's covered on Inside BE. My senior manager was recently let go after 11 years and got 11 weeks severance plus unused vaca. |

The severance you get depends on what they are willing to give you. The most recent RIFs I know of got 1 month per year they'd worked at BearingPoint / KPMG up to a maximum of 12 months.
BearingPoint is not legally obliged to give you that much, however.
