In Reply To: From the cover of the 2004 10-k report sent out: "I want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding during this intense period of review. After 11 months at BearingPoint I am even more excited about our business, our company and our prospects and look forward to sharing future successes with you". Sure, why not be excited? From pg.168, You got on March 2005: Annual BAse Salary of $750,000 Sign on CASH bonus of $1,000,000 (go on, say it like Dr.Evil) Annual Bonus: (yes, BEE's you read it right. ANNUAL BONUS) Mr.You will be eligible for an annual bonus with a target amount equal to at least 100% of his base salary. And I'll stop right here. I got the chance to get out of BE, I should not be concerned about raises, bonuese or lack thereof. But this just reeks. The only time I got a bonus, it was - I think - for less than 2% of my base salary. I just received the 2004 BE annual report, and I'm glad I just sold out every share of BE that I owned. My bet? Either Harry takes BE private again, or sells it. Maybe that's the other *big* announcement coming up in March that everybody's talking about?
Message: tightening down screws and buying lipstick to make the pig look more attractive for a private equity partner - to take us private - anyway, going private with lots of problems is like wrapping shit in a nice new smelling blanket - it won't take long before the poison culture and appalling leadership running this plcae place seeps out and starts stinking it all up again .. structural changes are like the proverbial rearrangement of deck chairs on the titanic ..until we sort out our strategy and value prop. for ourselves and clients we will remain a mediocre mid tier caught in the consulting twighlight zone being sqeezed out by ever stronger players ..... now, where's my lifejacket? Is that Harry fighting with the kiddies and oldies for a place in that lifeboat? Why do I sudenly feel like Lionardo (aka Jack) hanging on to this outfit with a cold monkey grip?
