I am happy to learn you are a republican and you are offend at the fact I referred to you as a democrat. I do believe that being a democrat is like a disease. I don't hate democrats I just feel sorry for them. They mostly possess the " I know what's better for you and I can spend you money smarter than you can" mentality. It is elitist and condecending. Most of the people on here aren't smart enough to get the slam.
What part of the country do you live in? Cost of living does play a big part in what your compensation is. At the risk of divulging more than my name, rank, and serial number we happen to live in an area where the cost of living is about 50% of what it is in DC. You do the math.

You are correct, she is seriously underpaid but that's what happens when you stay in the public service sector too long. She stayed so we could transfer duty stations as necessary, good for the family, bad for the income. BE is tring to close the gap as fast as possible and is doing a mediocre job of it.
I have already publicly admitted that I got a little too worked up about some of the accusations about my wife. Guess it has to do with the fact that she really does bust her ass for BE and to insinuate otherwise pisses me off. By the way her MD is a female.
Yes, I have a short temper but I usually keep it under control. Again sorry for acting like a neanderthal.
Even with all the education and training sometimes the testoterone gets the best of all of us.

I really wasn't trying to denigrate anyone. Like I said last post, I am just sick and tired of the "VICTIM" mentality of most of the posts on here.
You know, it is all someone elses fault that my life is so miserable, poor pitiful me, feel sorry for me, give me your money, my boss hates me, it is a conspiracy against me, I am such a loser attitude. It makes my blood boil.

Why do you continually seek validation from this board? Didn't your mother breast feed you? You are probably going through a mid life crisis. I bet this is your second marriage and you drive a BMW Z4, have 2 kids from your 1st marriage who you see on weekends, and your current wife is 10-15 years younger than you.
Now we find that you:
1. Are making even more money relatively, because of the cost of living where you live.
2. Have a temper problem that you are trying to control.
3. Might have a drinking as well as a anger management issues
4. Think you wife is safe because her MD is a woman.
