Hi Citizen,
I know exactly how you feel about the promotions. I was doing the work of a manager the last 2 years, and yet I was still a Sr. Consultant while everyone else I knew was promoted. I was just let go a couple of weeks ago - after 7.5 years, but a good friend of mine that's still on the project I was on told me three people (who I know only brown nose and do not do any work) were promoted while all the programmers and technical guys who do all the work were told no one was getting promoted. Egads! I am flabbergasted! My feelings as well on this project I was staffed. If the Blackhole collapses, you'll see a lot of unemployed folks walkind down West Peachtree Street.
Seriously I thought that BE was a good company to spend a couple of years when I began. After a couple of proyects busting my chops trying toi look good your experience doesn't matter. It's who you know.
Can't wait. Tomorrow is going to be a glorious day.
