Got fed up with the attitudes and the way people worked there. I'm moving to the competition. It's not much more money, but I think it'll be best for me there. The person that interviewed me actually told me that BE made me a big disservice by bringing me in as an SMA, and I was just made Consultant on this round of promotions after almost two years. In contrast, a guy that was hired last February and has been on only one project (I've been on six) doing only one thing made Senior Consultant. I was insulted.
Not looking back. Also the stock sucks. |

I know exactly how you feel about the promotions. I was doing the work of a manager the last 2 years, and yet I was still a Sr. Consultant while everyone else I knew was promoted. I was just let go a couple of weeks ago - after 7.5 years, but a good friend of mine that's still on the project I was on told me three people (who I know only brown nose and do not do any work) were promoted while all the programmers and technical guys who do all the work were told no one was getting promoted.
