In Reply To: BE's healthcare is divided between the federal and the commercial side. The commercial side is NOT a new service area. Overall, it's doing rather well. In fact, this last year has was really strong. The clinical practice is really taking off. ERP and rev cyle are also stable. There will always be someone with an axe to grind - and for some reason they tend to gravitate and post on discussion boards.
Message: Well actually they just lost the Sutter Health Contract and their year over year business is flat so I don't know if that is "really strong". The new MD's are gung ho sales guys though and could sell ice to an eskimo plus the industry is booming right now so BP should be able to pick up some business. Two people who applied in the past few weeks were told they aren't hiring right now though so perhaps the freeze is on. Its too bad that their goal is short term profits over long term relationships. They are cutting costs (no more group meals, cheap hotels, no bonuses) and the Washington Post pointed out that we had 33% turnover last year and can't hold onto its people. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/02/05/AR2006020500839.html
