Bearing Point is going thru a bad phase. They have a very high attrition rate and people are joining other firms. Also, I heard the non-compete with KPMG is expiring in Aug 06. Any idea whether KPMG might or might not reintegrate with BP and start operating like a single entity (simillar to Deloitte).
Simillarly PWC's non-compete with IBM is expiring in Oct 06 and there are rumours PWC might start their Consulting practice again.
Are we heading for BIG6 or BIG8 world?
I would like to know people's view on this whole thing. |

for example, I know tha KPMG have a heavy drive on building out their process and performance areas - things like BPM, CPM etc BUT without the desire to own the build and test phases ...therefore they will do strategy and value work, then BPM arch, then bring in a partner (or just manage) the build and test tech components - sort of smart given that tech is heading down the commodity track (read: infosys, wipro, tata etc) ... risk profile is higher ..but companies like KPMG, Deloittes etc know that the high value consulting is where the money is at - plus they own many of the CEO, COO and CFO type relationships, which is now a stronger proposition than pitching to the CIO's (who are more and more fitting under the CFO/COO's anyway) .....
This is why Harry has created the inititative to rebuild our Strategy and Value capabilities - he knows we need to be playing in that space as a beachhead to the tech tail/followthrough
