10 years, heck, I'd be disturbed if I had 5 years experience and not at 80. |

Why are you only at Sr. Consultant level after working so many years? In these cases, I would challenge the resource to look inward. I worked with a manager who recently left the firm because she had been there for 13 years and was not moving up. Hello? Sorry, but if in 13 years the furthest you can get is manager, then consulting is just not for you. And she was, in fact, justifiably sub-par. Yet she too thought she was "screwed". Couldn't understand why everyone around her kept moving up.
You are not getting "screwed", per se, you may just be in the wrong profession. For your level -- Consultant -- $70s is not bad. For your experience -- well, you should be at a higher level.
I would be surprised if you are at that level after so many years simply because you are "being screwed". There is probably a reason. I don't know your situation, so you may be the exception to the rule... but honestly evaluate if you are working to the level that someone with your experience should be.
