In Reply To: There is a fixed curve for each of the ratings down to the segment and potentially below. The fixed curve is forced for both EE/SE and NM/MS. I've heard the goal is to eliminate the bottom 10% every year.
Message: Listen, As long as you are not 'blackballed' or do something illegal you are not going to get a bad rating. Think about it, the less people they have in a contract the less money/bonuses the MD will make. They will tell you "your doing a great job" and "keep up the good work" as long as they keep making money off of you. That's the bottom line. If you are not in a position that is helping you out professionaly or making contacts, you are in a dead position. Pretty soon you will be in the basement like that 'office space' guy. Therefore start making your plans to leave. Don't fall for the "you are doing a good job" lingo, they don't want you to leave and be promoted or anything else. They just want to keep you and use you as a warm body to make them rich! I worked on a proposal about four months ago. We spent weekends and nights on this damed thing. And we won it, $12 million!. You know what the proposal team received? A thank you email. Not even a handshake. I bet our SrMgr will make MD for that win. --
