Here are the ranges
MA- $45000-$55000
SMA-$55000-$65000
Consultant- $65,000- $80000
SR.Consultant- $75,000-$95000
Mgr- $90000 - $125,000
Sr Mgr- $120000 - $180,000
MD- Start at $225, but 20% salary holdback.

People are occasionally hired in "out of band". I had a buddy who was hired in as an SSA (don't see many of those around) in the mid 70s. Two years and two promotions later, he was a SC only making about $3K than when he started. Needless to say, he quickly departed the company. I also know a SC whose bill rate is the same as Senior Managers.
