In Reply To: Joe, Thanks for your reply. You are right. I just get very nevrous about these things, Normally, I am very collected just this interviewing process is brutal. You said I should know what consulting is? Would you kindly elaborate on what that means? My sense is that consulting is walking into a client's office being able to work with their people on identifying solutions to some of the challeges they are facing. This uses a considerable of strategic options analysis during the analysis stage. Afterwards, its mostly focusing on the implementation process which can be a slow road. After reaching certain milestones reporting to the clients the progress that you made. Am I far off? The flat structure at BearingPoint means that you could you are able to take on responsibilites that you are you are fit for and just because you are the MA on the teams your sole duty isnt getting coffe and making kinko runs. Albeit, coffee and kinko runs are part of the MA duties but once you have that covered you can do other things. My last interview said the org is flat is that true from your exp?
Message: BE is NOT flat at all. I don't know who told you that, but I used to work there and it is not true at all. It's very hierarchal (sp?). You go into a group and mostly work within that sector. I work for a different firm now that's very flat. We don't have that. You work on whatever your skills are right for. Not a specific industry/sector etc.
