Why would PwC want to pick up PS? Like the other Big 4, I would imagine that PwC would run into numerous actual and potential audit conflicts in the PS sector. The leaders of the Big 4 are very risk adverse these days and anything smelling of large scale 'consulting' really makes them feel uneasy. I do know that PwC in the DC area did pick up several Bearingpoint PS MDs over the past year but they have been told to "operate under the radar" It will be VERY interesting to see if PwC is willing and able to enter into an arrangement to grab even a small piece of Bearingpoint. We may find out on the 9th. |

Actually, the fastest growing part of the remaining Big4s consulting practice is in PS becasue there are so few conflicts.
