Emerging Markets Group |

We had a company wide meeting last year, and we saw a preso from the emerging markets group. They do a lot of work in economic development in developing countries. I've done some international travel (not work related) over the past couple of years, and feel that working with helping developing countries would be something I would be interested in.
Does anybody have any information on working in the emerging markets group? What sort of work do they do? Are they on the ground in developing nations, or mainly working in North America?
I know they used to be a separate company (Barents Group). Do they have many employees, or would they be interested in taking a "mainline" employee into their fold?
Thanks all! |

Contact Barents in the Tysons Tower, VA. They were booming from a top-line revenue perspective (not too certain about their bottom-line) when I was with KPMG Consulting several years ago. They also had very high turnover due to the stress of international project work and low salaries for non-partners/MDs. Other than their Iraq and Afghan USAID projects, I am not sure how well they are doing today.
