one of my good friends is and MD on a sales desk at bear..salaray is 55-60 base, 5-10k signing bonus, year end bonus is discretionary, my guess is youll be makin between 70-90k first year. depends on the market and how hard you work
as far as good divisions, risk arb is top notch at bear, so is equity derivitives, structured equity, international, bear is a solid firm, any desk you could get on would be a great opportunity.
interview tips...i interviewd and recieved offer for the summer program, essentially the same thing. Interview will be mostly fit, walk you through your resume, talk about your school, team work, leadership, all that stuff. if you have any technical experience expect to be grilled on it. might get a brain teaser or two for a fulltime spot. basically these guys want to see if they could handle sitting next to you on a desk for a year. Just act happy and excited to be there, be friendly and play it cool. Hope that could help
