almost all of BMW development is done in Munich, Germany. BMW in New Jersey is mostly finance and sales. The only development work that is done in the US is at Designworks in LA. This is primarily industrial design. However, BMW is buiding a new Information Technology research center in South Carolina at Clemson University. I would suggest researching opportunities at this new facility. I don't think it will be finished until 2005. |

I'm not sure where Cougar is getting his information, but it is not correct. DesignWorks USA (near LA) is one development facility. There are, however, others. There is a significant amount of development work regarding US market specific topics (e.g. emissions, after-sales products, etc), and much of that work happens in NJ.
