(1) Universal Bank Hype
Check out Euromoney Feb issue for their periodic poll of the status/ranking of "universal" banks.
I work for a "universal" bank (not BofA though).
I have seen us bring up a range of resources that an MS or a GS simply cannot - particularly in the international field. Of course this occurs in certain situations not all. So, yes, there is something to the universal bank "hype".
(2) Choice of Locations
Unless you have other compelling life goals, it's wise to work in the main frame office and the main frame market. At least to earn your spurs. |
