Is anyone familar with the opportunities available to non-cores looking for an ACi position?
I was fortunate enough to interview for the summer position at Bain, and I just wanted to know to what degree I was hindered by being non-core. |

It probably did not "hinder" you much. Getting the interview is the hardest part if you're not at a school where Bain actively recruits on campus. Now getting the offer isn't easy either, since maybe 10% of people in first round will get an offer, regardless of the school. The key point is that once you've got the interview, what matters is how well you do in the interview. The competition for an interview is sufficiently fierce that they don't interview people they have big questions about.
It's a good idea to reapply in the fall when there are more positions (roughly 3X as many FT offers are made as intern offers).
