Interview rounds are similar but more difficult/complex for AC. Same story when comparing AC vs. MBA interviews.
Generally it's a very good sign that you got an ACi interview and they generally encourage people in your situation to reapply. However, whether you get an interview next year will depend to some extent on what you did this summer, the "why bain?" section of your cover letter, etc. With the volume of resumes Bain gets, it's never "safe" to say that one will get an interview. |

Yea, I did get a lot of encouragement to reapply, which I take as a good sign to some extent ;)
Also, a negative I can think of on my resume was my GPA (perhaps this is clarified by saying that I think I got an ACI interview "in-spite" of my GPA) - would it be alright to take courses and continue my extracurriculars this summer (volunteering in the community mainly)? My logic is that my GPA would show noticeable improvement between ACI application time and ACI app. time since I had two semesters of positive results added to it, and this might have been the only negative to my application (keep in mind, I'm not trying to be arrogant, just realistic). I already have solid internship experience (although not consulting), and since I can't work for Bain over the summer, I'm not 100% sure it would make sense to go out an intern for GE or IBM just for the sake of doing it. I mean, Bain already knows that consulting is what I want to do, so...
what do you think?
