Anyone ever bomb a case study, do well on another, and actually get an offer? If one person advocates for you and the other thinks you suck, are you essentially without hope?
That excruciating sensation of bombing slowly as the offer is slowly pulled out of my reach.. |

Welcome to my world. =) I actually had an interview in the Bain NYC office for ACI, and i *bombed* one of the interviews.
Needless to say, I didn't get an offer ,and it sucked since Bain was my #1 choice for the summer.
I think it's much different for summer recruiting. Maybe for full time, we would have better shots even with a screw up. I rocked out on my first two interviews but really just got screwed in second rounds.
So by personal experience, I'm going to say it doesn't look hopeful. But you never know.
