In Reply To: Congratulations on your interview; you've already jumped a very high hurdle. First round ACi interviews shouldn't have anything too surprising. Spend your time now practicing cases, figuring out your story (why consulting? why bain?), and narrowing down your office preference. Wherever you work as an ACi should be your choice for a full-time office. Recruiters like to see people with strong geographic preferences. Above all, be confident! Just getting an interview is a big accomplishment, so go in knowing that the interviewer wants you to succeed.
Message: thanks for the comments! i've practiced my first case and it was pretty difficult, but i think i have a better idea of how to attack it. i'll definitely be doing a lot of prepping this weekend. i'm also a fnce and acct major, but i love bain and what they do, beyond what any bank can do... should i express this in the interview? in terms of location, i wrote in my cover that my 1st choice is LA, but i found that that would somewhat limit my chances since my school is a target for east coast, not west coast... would it be unreasonable to voice my preference for BOS even though my cover says otherwise? are you still at bain? how do you like it? anybody else have any comments?
