Assume I am graduating in Spring 2007, would it be better for me to intern this summer at a Fortune 100 where I get good, impressive experience, but is not in the consulting field, or should I stay in school and take extra courses during the summer to improve the GPA that (for example) Bain recruiters will see when I apply for full-time this fall. Assime that *right now* my resume is perfect (yea, I know, may be a stretch), besides the GPA - this is the key part of my decision.
Obviously, if I get an internship at Bain for the summer, I would choose that over school, but this is for the alternative. |

-solid internship experience in my major (at the previously mentioned but not name Fortune 100)
-awards at that company
-scholarships
-leadership experience
-professional society involvement
-honor society memberships
-study abroad (twice)
and a couple of other nice things.
Please note, I'm not exaggerating or bragging, just trying to help get a clear answer on the question I just asked. :)
