I'm grateful for your replies and encouragement. I didn't mean to imply that I am not enthusiastic about consulting! I think consulting is a very challenging and exciting job, and I truly hope I will be able to succeed as a consultant.
But I guess I had the impression that most people will get multiple offers from M/B/B (since the recruiting processes are pretty similar), and so I was really starting to wonder if my performance at the Bain interviews was a fluke.
And furthermore, the feedback from M/B really shocked me because it made me think that I lack the analytical ability or business sense to succeed as a consultant. I mean partners with so many years of experience should be able to tell right?? That's why I started questioning the Bain recruiting process!
P/s: Thanks again for replying :) I guess I'm being so cautious about going into consulting because it will be my first job out of college and I am not very sure what to expect.
