I recently moved to the Bay Area after owning my own creative boutique, writing 11 books, and have an award-winning portfolio just not in any "name" agencies. Are SF agencies/design studios hiring freelancers or is the market glutted? I know better than to call. I've got a funky mailer ready to send out. Or am I crazy to start over in a new market and should get out of the ad biz while I'm ahead? (The thought of selling shoes at Sears, however, doesn't do it for me.) Also any help on client side freelancing would be appreciated. Thanks
