I'm interested in applying for media positions at advertising agencies. Which cities would you recommend? What are the advantages and disadvantages of those cities? As of now, I'm leaning towards NY or SF. |

Jobs in SF are at a minimum right now. With the dot com bust, the economy has taken a dive and companies are laying people off left and right. Both NY and SF are hard places to start out in. Especially since entry level positions pay around 25-35k/year. In SF, it is hard to find a place (rental) for less than $2,000/month. From what I understand, NY is just as bad. Where are you currently living? Are you still in school?
