urgently.....
I'll make this to the point. My situation is that I am a journalism major who is 12 credits short of graduation, and those credits are all in foreign language. I have been given permission by my college to complete these credits in absentia.
I was supposed to have acheived that by now, and be graduating next month, but I've been so distracted by life, I haven't started. I'm forcing myself to get on the stick about a lot of things now. I just had a baby a year and a half ago if you're wondering, in a very difficult delivery which caused post-traumatic stress disorder, and healing was slow. Then, I didn't want to leave her, yada yada yada.
I have reason to believe now that I may be getting divorced. All the more reason to leave Texas, head to a coast and get to work.
There are so many of you out there with such good resumes and advertising majors, do I have a chance? Are my odds better in advertising, in P.R. or doesn't that matter? Big or small agency? New York, or somewhere else? How do I find a corporate culture that tends to be a little older, 30s or so. I don't want to stick out in an unfavorable way. I also want my company to have some appreciation of employees with kids.
Also, in your honest opinion, do I sound sad, or do I sound like a person with a sad story? I'm afraid it'll show.
Thanks.
