Hey,
Thanks a lot for your advice, it wasn't very encouraging per say :-).Unfortunately, I have made my mind to move down there and I have some pretty serious personal reason to do that , so I hope I find some position.....Would you reccomend some agency??? As a matter of fact I have found a couple openings and they were all posted on 4th District AAF, so I guess I did one thing right.Thanks one more time and please advice |

Sorry about not being very encouraging. I think honesty is the best approach :) But in the end, it's all about what you make of the move and the work you'll be doing. As long as you're not making the move to "make it big", you should be fine. It's all about being happy, which I've learned is truly the most important thing.
I can reccommend some agencies, but what part of the industry are you interested in i.e. account, creative, media, etc.?
The 4th district AAF site is a great resource. Also, you can contact agencies in the area and see if they're hiring or maybe do some informational interviews. How you go about getting a job really depends on what part of the industry you're interested in. Also, how many yrs experience do you currently have?
The one downside to the industry as a whole is that most people get jobs these days because of "who they know". It's so important to have connections, especially in a smaller city. I would definitely try and attend some of the events that the Orlando Advertising Federation puts on.
Let me know what part of the industry you're interested in and I can give you some more advice.
