It sucks working for a consulting firm, sometimes long hours, and making in multiples less than i-bankers, management consultants, and computer consultants.
In addition, after work, you have to study for incredibly hard exams that completely take away your life. And it's all for mere $60K-70K. Analysts in i-banks and fin. consultants 3-4 years after school rake up $100-200K a year in total compensation. That's as much as actuaries make after 15 years of work and after passing all 9 exams. This just sucks!!! |

You are under paid.
After 5yrs of work, ASA/ACAS in consulting you should earn $100-$200.
Also if you jump the actuarial ship entirely and do quantitative research on Wall St., i-bankers will pay the same.
