In Reply To: At least it will be easier for you to switch to another Big Four company or smaller CPA company. I'm 28, passed CPA exam (May 2002), and have not been able to break into Big Four....:( so far. Sometimes I hear feedback that I'm too old.:) Anyways. Like I said you can easily jump to another Big Accounting Firm.
Message: I wouldn't worry about the age factor. I'm 28 and will be 29 in February, and I just received and accepted an offer to work for D&T in AAS. I have a friend of a friend who works for D&T and routed my resume to the right person though. My exprience is a bit unique as I was an IT consultant for 4-5 years before finishing graduate school and picking up the accounting hours for the CPA exam, which I'll be taking in May '03. It's been a career change for me but my age was never questioned by the recruiters.
