In Reply To: Hi, I am also considering an accounting position, also after being unemployed for a few months, what kind of salary level do you think is ok level for a master in accounting?
Message: As for me, I think that there's no sense whatsoever to go and spend TWO years in the Graduate Business School to earn Master in Accounting. I think we can talk about Masters in Taxation may be, on top of your bachelor's, PLUS you must definitely "polish" your master's with... our favorite CPA license. I would never go to earn Master's in Accounting. MBA from a top school yes, as an addition to my CPA license I'm fighting for right now. May be someone thinks differently? There's a school - Keller Management School, or DeVry university, they'll give you a waiver of classes towards your Master's if you have CMA or CFM or CPA license. This way you can cut your period of "imprisonment" in the school but ... is it worth it anyway? Up to you. :)
