I am a Wharton Undergrad deciding between summer jobs with AA in San Francisco or Goldman Sachs Research in NY. I am leaning towards AA, but everybody tells me to go for GS for the prestige and salary. Any recommendations?
Also, what is approximate starting salary for a Big 5 in audit in San Francisco? |

Go with AA. You have no idea as to how much of an asset having public accounting experience under your belt is. You can ALWAYS go into investment banking after AA. But rarely ever can you go from investment banking to AA. You need to know how to depict financials, what makes an institution thrive, etc. When a lot of investment banking firms hire they say "Big 5" experience necessary.
To make things even better AA is a great firm. Despite the debacle now the people are amazing and the opportunities are unlimited. Good luck with your decision.
