With a graduate degreee you get more, but it doesn't matter if it's a Masters of Accountancy or MBA, you get the same.. |

It is untrue that a Big 5 firm will pay more for an starting auditor with a master's degree (either MBA or MAcc). I started 8 months ago with a Big 5 firm and have only a bachelor's degree and make exactly the same as my co-workers that have graduate degrees.
Furthermore, if you're going to be an accountant and want a graduate degree, get an MBA! The MAcc is a worthless degree which resulted from a stupid AICPA edict to states to raise the college credit hours to 150 for CPA's. An MBA will do much more for you in the long run.
