Does anyone know of good CPA preparation material/classes that I can take? I have not taken any part of the exam, and would like an idea of what the exam is like. Any suggestions are appreciated. |

As someone who passed the exam on their first attempt, take my advice. If you're serious about passing the test and willing to put in the time necessary to do so, I recommend a review course, either with Becker or through a local college. Also, buy the Delaney books. These books cover all the major material and give many practice questions. Do as many multiple choice questions as possible, because this is the key to passing the exam. If you can become proficient with the M.C., you'll be able to handle the essays as well, without wasting a bunch of time practicing for them. Don't let anybody convince you that you need to practice writing essays. The test is very passable if you put in the time necessary. Also, know that while there seems to be an impossible amount of info to deal with, the test really is a mile wide and an inch deep.
