Just graduated & need some advice/direction |

So here's my situation:
I just graduated from Gardner-Webb University (some may have heard of it & most others probably have not) with my B.S. in Accounting and am in search of my first "real" job in the industry. Throughout pretty much my entire undergrad career, I was not very active in my search for a job; the reason for this was due to the fact that I had one lined up with a local CPA. Unfortunately for us both, about 2 months ago he had a massive heart attack - that he miraculously and thankfully survived - & will, consequently, not be in practice anytime in the foreseeable future. I, as a result, am now searching all of the job search engines on a day-to-day basis for an entry-level position to come my way and don't think that I am going to have the greatest luck in doing so.
I'm ultimately not really sure what kind of positions I should be looking for. I had a 3.9 GPA, graduated Summa Cum Laude, won awards, and had multiple honors. My only downfall is that I have little experience - although I have worked in my family's business as a bookkeeper for the past 3 years. When it's all said and done, what type of job should I be trying to get? I mean is a staff accounting position too high up for me, or should I be trying to find something a little less responsibility-oriented like an accounting clerical (clerk) position or etc.? Also, based on the credentials that I listed, how successful do you all think that I will be in my search for something in the industry?
