I??m in a HUGE dilemma. Firstly please NO moral filled replies, I know I screwed up. Basically I have been hired by a Big Five firm for several months now, but I don??t start until September. They??ve done all the background checks etc, and they have sent me their laptop. Problem is in a moment of absolute stupidity I sent in a photocopy of my transcript which had some grades ??changed??. Basically I raised by GPA from a B minus to a B plus. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I have to quit my current job in one month if I am to make the change because I have to go back to summer school to make up 6 courses (they know about this). Assuming I get all A??s in these 6 courses, hand in a real transcript which will included these grades when I start, do you think anything will happen? Has anyone heard of people getting charged for this? I love the job that??s been offered to me. Do you think they will notice? I have no idea what to do, I know I messed up but this is my dream job. Do I take the gamble or face the music now? ANY ADVICE? Thanks in advance. |

It was only a mistake. Your present situation shows that your intention was to provide the best info at the most suitable time. Let it go and follow the suggestion of don??t ever tell to anyone this mistake. The firm will save your profile and your personal commitment with the job and the task will be more appreciated than a B- or a B+.
